| Description: | Required: BS in Information Systems or equivalent, 5+ years experience in Storage/SAN administration. Candidates should be experienced in the design, installation, setup, and administration of storage systems in a production environment. The SAN administrator must be familiar with designing and implementing enterprise wide storage solutions, modification to existing storage configurations, production support and problem resolution on mulitple platforms. Experience with one or more platforms to include IBM, EMC, and Network Appliance a must.
Responsibilities: The SAN Administrator will manage SAN fabrics and SAN security, monitor storage capacity and utilization to maintain optimal free-space levels. Coordinate installation and maintenance of all SAN cabling, host bus adapters (HBAs), and associated drivers and link management software. Manage storage pools, volumes, LUNs, LUN mappings and security. Perform problem determination, resolution, and root-cause analysis of performance-related problems on all storage platforms.
Applicants must be able to obtain a security clearance and should be able to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment, while excelling in solo operations. He/she should also possess strong problem resolution abilities as well excellent written and oral communications skills. Applicants should also be able to mentor team members and provide leadership on assigned tasks.
